TechSportsBlog.com is a blog that focuses on Virginia Tech sports, but posts are not necessarily limited to topics about Tech. The goal of Tech Sports Blog is to offer commentary and analysis of VT football, VT basketball, and college football from a layman’s perspective.
I started this blog because during the 2006 college football season I ran a college football pick’em during the regular season. Participants picked games involving AP Top 25 teams against the spread. I ended up finishing 2nd, only one point behind the winner. During the course of the season I sent out weekly updates that included my opinions about each weekend’s results. I quickly realized that I enjoyed writing about college football. I am the first to admit that I am not an expert. I never played football, and I never coached football. Heck, outside of my freshman year of high school, I never played team sports. However, I am an avid college football fan, and I’ve talked with only a few people who share the same passion.
So, I decided to create this blog to share my opinions with the world. I hope you enjoy reading it. I welcome good discussion, so please feel free to leave comments to my posts. However, keep your comments respectful. I reserve the right to remove and/or edit any posts I see fit.
